Princeville Township Cemetery

String Trimmer Wanted

Princeville Township is hiring one seasonal part-time laborer

for the Princeville Township Cemetery.

The season lasts for seven months, from April through October.

Hours range from 48 to 64 hours per month.

Compensation is monthly and begins after the

month of April (May through November).

 

The duties involve string trimming around headstones.

Other duties may be assigned by the Cemetery Sexton as required.

 

The hourly wage is $18.00 per hour.

There is no overtime and the candidate will be required to fill out a W-4 form.

 

Prospective candidates must be honest, self-motivated,

able to work in varying outdoor conditions and

have valid transportation to the cemetery.

The work schedule is flexible to accommodate the prospect's

other commitments.

Full / Part Time Mechanic

We are looking for an experienced mechanic to work on small engines and powersports. This job requires lifting items over 60+ lbs.

Fork lift experience is positive.

Job references and experience required.

Pay will be determined on level of experience. Holiday pay and commissionable pay is possible in the future. This position does require seasonal Saturday times and flexible seasonal schedule in spring and fall. Applicant needs to be available to work during opening

hours of Monday-Saturday.

Reminders from the Village Hall:

 

2026 ATV, UTV, Golf Cart Permit Stickers are now available.

Yearly permit stickers are $25.00. Good from Jan. 1st thru Dec. 31st.

If it is a new sticker application, then you must fill out the

permit application and bring your ATV, UTV or Golf Cart to the Village Hall for inspection. The ordinance and the list of items required for permit are

listed on the Village website,

2026 Pet Tags 

$2.00 per cat/dog

Having a tag is required by Village ordinance,

but also serves as a safeguard to assist the Village

in contacting you if your pet gets out and is picked up.

The Village has a contract with Peoria County Animal Protective Services. If you have an issue to report, need to report stray animals, call 309-672-2440.

2026 Princeville Recycling Calendar

 

To sign up for curbside recycling pick up,

contact Eagle Enterprises Recycling at

(309) 932-2936 or toll free (888) 932-2936.

 

Eagle Enterprises Recycling will pick up, CEDs once a month from resident's homes. CEDs (Covered Electronic Devices) which are the 17 items specifically banned from the landfill.

CEDs: TVs, computer monitors, computers (including desktops, laptops, and tablets), printers, fax machines, VCRs, DVD players, DVD recorders, video game consoles, digital converter boxes, cable receivers, satellite receivers, keyboards, computer mice, small scale servers, scanners and portable digital music players (that contain memory).

 

Residents must call Eagle Enterprises Recycling, 888-932-2936, by noon the day prior to the collection, to request pick up for that month.
