The Heart of a Prince
Princeville Schools are again holding a
campaign to raise funds to purchase Thanksgiving dinner baskets for
people in the Princeville Community who are currently in need. The
baskets will include a turkey and the fixings for a traditional
Thanksgiving dinner.
Any individuals or groups who would like
to donate money to the program can call the PHS office at 385-4660.
Checks may also be sent to the high school at 302 Cordis Avenue,
Princeville, IL 61559 and should be made payable to Princeville High
School.
Princeville Grade School students and Princeville State
Bank will be given a list of specific items needed for the Thanksgiving
baskets if anyone would like to donate food items. Princeville State
Bank will also accept monetary donations. Funds and items will be
collected until Wednesday, November 18th.
Princeville High School and the National
Honor Society would greatly appreciate any contributions that you would
like to give.
Families or individuals who would like
to request a basket should
call Princeville High School at 385-4660
ext. 1116.
Deliveries can only be made to
individuals that reside within the Princeville School District.
Requests for baskets will be taken
through Monday, November 16th. Baskets will be delivered
Tuesday, November 24th between noon and 3pm.

Stevens Square Christmas Tree Display
|
In an effort to promote holiday cheer, the Village of
Princeville, would like to give the community an opportunity to sponsor
and decorate a Christmas Tree in Stevens Square Park. Residents,
businesses, groups and clubs are invited to sponsor a tree that will
bear their name or sponsor a tree in memory of a loved one.
To sign up sponsor a tree, forms can be found at Village
Hall, Lillie M. Evans Library and at the link below.
To sponsor a tree, please have forms turned in no later than November 16!

2020 Princeville Civic Association
Holiday Stroll
|
In conjunction with the
Christmas tree display,
the Princeville Civic Association
will host a
Tree Lighting & Holiday Stroll
on Sunday, December 6
4:30pm -7pm.
This event is an opportunity to start a new Princeville
tradition and to provide a social event for area residents.
(This event will be in addition to the Holiday Homecoming
Small
Business Saturday event planned for November 28th.)
There will be a photo stop, an
opportunity to visit with Santa, Girl Scout carolers, and more! If you

LANDSCAPE WASTE REMOVAL REMINDERS

Beginning Monday, October 19,
the leaf vacuum will be out every Monday, Wednesday and
Friday.
(rainy days will sometimes affect the schedule)
Per the Superintendent of Public Works,
Village residents can
rake their leaves into the street on any
day of the week.
Please keep the leaves close to the
curb.
