Princeville Civic Association 01/15/2013 Scheduled Events Community Events Become a Fan of the Village of Princeville on Facebook     Submit your meeting or event information       On Wednesday morning the Princeville Heritage Museum will have a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the new meeting room.  The Community Coffee starts at 8am that morning and everyone is welcome to stop by and see just what the museum is all about!   The new Antique Toy and Doll Room will be open for all to see and a few items will be moved in.   (More information in the Community Events section) The Princeville Heritage Museum is currently seeking donations of antique toys and dolls to display.  If you would like to donate, contact the museum at 385-1916.          The Princeville Heritage Museum recently received a wonderful gift of display cases to be used in the new antique toy and doll room.  The beautiful cherry wood cases were donated by Norbert and Connie Hoppler.  An article in the PJ Star on January 2nd told about the gift and also the upcoming ribbon cutting at the museum to celebrate the new meeting room.  to see more click on the link below.  Museum: Donated Display Cases a Treasure   Did You Know~ You can view and order pictures from the Heritage Days 175th Celebration.  There are many wonderful pictures of people from our community in the picture gallery.  Check it out~you just might find a picture of yourself!!    Ordering information and the pictures can be found on the Village of Princeville's website, Click here to view and order pictures.  The pictures are only available in a 4x6 size and are $3.00 each.         A Taste of Princeville Cookbook A Taste of Princeville Cookbooks are a wonderful gift idea!    The recipes in this cookbook come from current and former community members of Princeville.  Numerous recipes were also submitted in memory of family members.    A Taste of Princeville Cookbook ~ $15.00  All proceeds of the cookbook benefit the   Princeville Heritage Museum.    The 175th Commemorative Books of Princeville are also available.  The cost of the Commemorative Books is $10.00.  The sale of these books benefit the  Princeville Civic Association.    Both books make great gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, or special occasions. They are available at   the Princeville Heritage Museum,   EB Buildings & Lumber, and Princeville State Bank.    You can also Click Here To Download Book Order Form.         Princeville Recycling Calendar for 2013  Please click on the link below:  Princeville2013Calendar In 2012, 274,597 pounds or 137.30 ton of recycling was picked up  in Princeville by Eagle Enterprises Recycling.   Village of Princeville Ordinances and Reminders     The Village of Princeville would like to remind residents to move vehicles off of the street if two or more inches of snow are forecast.  It shall be unlawful to allow any vehicle or trailer to remain on any street or alley in the village in such a manner as to interfere with snow removal operations, when the accumulation is forecasted to be two or more inches in depth.    Any car parked on the streets will be towed at the owner's expense.    If you need a place to park a car, you can park in the Princeville public parking lots.  The lot on the northwest corner of Santa Fe and Spring Streets is available you may also park in the lot on the southwest corner of E. Main and Walnut Streets.                  If you do park a car in one of the public lots, please inform Village Hall                      by calling 385- 4765.                                          Also~ Reminder to all Village of Princeville residents:  Burning of lawn waste is allowed on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.  All fires must be put out by sunset.     Village of Princeville residents:  Animal tags are available at Village Hall for $2.  Please stop in and register your pet per village ordinance 6.08.010.                              For questions, please call Village Hall at 385-4765.      ANNOUNCING 1st Annual Princeville to Peoria Run for St. Jude!! If you are interested in running or volunteering for the 1st Annual Princeville to Peoria Run for St. Jude held in August 2013.   Contact:  Jennifer Carruthers carruthersjen@gmail.com Additional information and fundraising events will be announced in the coming months.     Our School Has Heart   The Princeville High School Band in conjunction with The American Heart Association will be having a "Red Out" at the PHS Basketball game on    February 8, 2013. The band will be selling "Rock the Beat" T-shirts for $10 with all proceeds going to The American Heart Association. Forms are available at both PGS and PHS offices and forms were sent home with PGS students.   Princeville Women's Club  The Princeville Women's Club would like to invite the community  to their next meeting.  Tuesday, January 22nd at 1:30pm  at the Princeville Methodist Church.  The guest speaker will be Phil Luciano.   Refreshments will be served.    The ladies would love to see a large crowd at this meeting. Come to hear the speaker and to support your local Women's Club!  Any questions~  call Mary Arnold 385-2048.   The Women's Club continues a great tradition in the town of Princeville. Lillie M Evans Library District Board Meeting Thursday, January 17th at 6pm Meeting at the LME Library Library Board Meetings are open to the public.                                          ~~Joint Boards Meeting~~                              There will be a joint meeting of the                      Princeville CUSD #326 Board of Education,                     Village of Princeville Board of Trustees, and              Lillie M. Evans Library District Board of Trustees on          January 17th at 7pm at the Princeville Heritage Museum.             Joint meetings are planned bi-yearly for the purpose of                      communicating plans for our community.              The public is welcome and encouraged to attend! Princeville Woman's Club Tuesday, January 22nd 1:30pm, at Methodist Church Guest speaker will be Phil Luciano.  Everyone welcome.
