Greetings!          Come out and support the Princeville to Peoria St. Jude Runners as they make their way to Peoria this Saturday, August 2nd at 8:45am at Stephens Square.   Also in town this week the MDA Benefit is happening Friday and Saturday, August 1st & 2nd.  Check out the flyer in this email for more information.     Job Opportunity!  Princeville Aquatic Center Princeville Aquatic Center is located at  620 N Princeville Ave, Princeville  Phone:  309-385-4740 Open Daily from Noon to 6:00pm Admission:  Ages 16 & Up~$4.00, Ages 3-15~$3.50,  Ages 2 & Under~Free ~~~~~~~~~~ Season Passes and Multi Visit passes are  available for purchase at Village Hall, 206 N Walnut, Princeville. Multi Visit Passes  (do not expire at the end of the season and can be  used until all 20 general admission entries are used) *Village of Princeville Residents ~ $60 *Non-Residents ~ $80 Akron Princeville Fire Department Needs Volunteers!! Have you ever thought about being a volunteer firefighter? Do you live and or work in Princeville? Now would be the time that you turn that thought of volunteering into a reality. The Akron-Princeville Fire Dept is accepting applications for volunteers. We can not provide top notch service without people to respond. Although we have an immediate need for daytime volunteers, all applications will be considered. Please go to apfd.com or contact any APFD member for an application or if you have questions. Princeville to Peoria St Jude Runners Leave for Peoria!  Please come out Saturday Morning to Stevens Square or along the route and show your support as the runners leave to start their journey into Peoria. Runners will be leaving around 8:45. A huge send off would be amazing! They will leave the high school,  head down North St. to Santa Fe to Evans to Tremont. They will stop and say their goodbyes and cheer each other on and start their run for the kids of St. Jude.  Annual Book Sale! Everybody checked out all of Anne's fabulous flowers. Our hostesses for the evening were Anne Abbey and Martha Macy.  They provided a summer fruit bowl and a gluten free desert along with lemonade and vanilla biscotti coffee. DOOR PRIZE - Our door prize winner was Jane Stoeker. Jane won a set of flashlights, paint scrapper and tools. Congratulations Jane. AUGUST MEETING - The August meeting of the Garden Club will be at Jane Stoecker on August 7th at 6:30 p.m. Bring your own chair.  Plant or Tip of the month will be Judy Sutherland.  See you there. Guests are always welcome. AUGUST HOSTESSES - Hostesses for August will be Sharon Fulton and Lisa Ransom. Dear Lillie M Evans Library,          The Princeville Heritage Museum will be busy this weekend with their annual Heritage Harvest!  On Friday, July 25 they will start with a Fried Chicken Dinner and Barn Dance.  Saturday, July 26 is an all day event including Antique Tractors, Threshing, Corn Shelling, Alamar Acres Clydesdale Horses,  Lions Club breakfast & lunch, and so much more. (click on Village Ordinances link below to see this  and other ordinances)   It is unlawful for anyone to permit any weeds, grass or plants, or other than trees, bushes, flowers, or other ornamental plants to grow to a height exceeding eight inches anywhere in the Village.  Any such plants or weeds exceeding such height are declared to be a nuisance.  per village ordinance 8.24.020     Burning of lawn waste is allowed on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
