Brian "Fox" Ellis recently presented a program at the Princeville Heritage Museum.  There was some interest from the audience members regarding any of his upcoming programs ~ below is an upcoming program in Kewanee.
BRIAN "FOX" ELLIS TELLS LINCOLN STORY AT LWV ANNUAL MEETING

Brian "Fox" Ellis, a noted storyteller, will present a program on Abraham Lincoln, the lawyer, through the eyes of his law partner, William Herndon, at the 68th annual meeting of the League of Women Voters of the Kewanee Area.  The presentation starts at 7:45 pm on Thursday, May 22 at Kewanee Dunes.  The public is invited to attend.

Before the program, the League will be hosting a social hour including a cash bar starting at 6pm.  At 7pm, dinner will be served. The cost for the meal is $20. If you would like to attend the dinner, you must RSVP with the number attending to Anne Fulton (852-2239 orafchestnut@msn.com) by Friday, May 16.   Any questions please contact Anne Fulton or Cathy Maguire (852-4453).

You may attend the presentation only at 7:45 pm.  The program is free and open to the public.  While an RSVP is not required, it would be useful for planning purposes.

Brian "Fox" Ellis, a Bishop Hill resident,  is an internationally acclaimed author, storyteller, historian, and naturalist who has been regaling audiences worldwide for more than 35 years.  He has worked with The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, The Field Museum and dozens of other museums across the country.  Fox has been a featured speaker at regional and international conferences and is an author of 16 books.  Fox is also the Artistic Director for Prairie Folklore theatre, a unique theatre company that celebrates ecology and history through original musical theatre productions.  To learn more, see foxtalesint.com.

The purpose of the League of Women Voters is to promote responsibility through informed and active participation of citizens in government, and to act on selected governmental issues.  One way the League has accomplished this purpose is through informational meetings and candidate forums open to the public.
